Royal College of Physicians
In October 2007, the Royal College of Physicians convened a working party to evaluate the benefits and difficulties of interactions between the pharmaceutical industry, physicians, academia, and the NHS, with a sharp focus on improving the conditions required to deliver excellent medicines to patients. A report of their findings and recommendations will be available from February 4th, 2009. This has been an example of a commendable collaboration which reflects the determination of all stakeholders in the relationship to look honestly and productively at how to align their interests for the benefit of all parties - with the overall focus on ways to improve outcomes for patients through productive alliances. Following release of the report, myPHID will be part of a consultation group to ensure that recommendations are translated into action. We look forward to bringing you the key points of the report and to working to the benefit of all in a new era of engagement.

...and welcome to a new era and environment that recognises and rewards scientific collaborations of merit.

myPHID™ is the international hub for best working practices between healthcare professionals.

myPHID™ is the only international professional networking site for the pharmaceutical industry and the medical community to work openly to align commercial and medical aspirations.

The aims of myPHID™ are to:
• Create an equal forum where all the stakeholders in international healthcare can unite to forward research and clinical ambitions.

• Provide a more authentic way for pharma professionals, medical practitioners, healthcare experts and clinical research specialists to communicate - talking medicine not marketing.

• Assemble all types of committed healthcare professionals within a transparent environment to enable them to work together to share ideas and build authentic relationships that will benefit care of patients.

myPHID aims to do this through discussion, research, consensus and education within the community. myPHID will broadcast current views on topics that up to now have caused hidden divisions but remained undebated in an open arena and have certainly never been part of a united community discussion. This is a greatly desired step in the pathway to changing perceptions and creating authentic relationships in the healthcare arena.

myPHID™ can help you to achieve your goals
